Pacific hold-down systems are available in multiple configurations depending on application requirements.
Mechanical configurations use a lock to secure the hold-down to the seating nipple, with the sealing ring acting as the no-go and providing a positive seal at the seat.
Friction configurations use seating cups without a lock to secure the hold-down to the seating nipple. This arrangement provides additional sealing between the nipple and hold-down, with the sealing ring again acting as the no-go and supporting a positive seal.
Combination configurations use both a lock and seating cups to provide increased hold-down security and sealing performance. This configuration supports both mechanical retention and enhanced sealing between components.
Pacific hold-down systems are designed to support flexibility during installation, servicing, and ongoing operation.
The seating nipple provides full-bore access, allowing operations such as wireline intervention, pressure work, and temperature surveys to be carried out without internal restrictions. The design allows the same hold-down assembly to be used for both top and bottom configurations through adjustment of end fittings.
Sealing is achieved through a stainless steel sealing ring and a reversible seat design, allowing operation with or without seating cups or lock configurations depending on application requirements.
The hold-down system is designed to support efficient servicing and maintenance in the field.
If the stainless steel seat within the seating nipple assembly becomes worn or damaged, sealing performance can be restored without removing the tubing. Replacement of the spacer ring in mechanical configurations allows the sealing function to be transferred to the seating cups and nipple assembly, maintaining load support and sealing integrity.
